Why Pann exists
Pann started as a different app: one that scanned your fridge and tracked a calorie ring. It worked as a demo and failed as a life. Fridge scans get things wrong, nobody keeps a digital inventory current, and a meal built on a wrong inventory is built on a lie. Meanwhile the real evening problem stayed unsolved: you know exactly which one thing needs using, chicken and noodles, half a bag of spinach, and the only question is what to make of it and how.
So Pann was rebuilt around that moment. You name the one thing you have, it builds a real meal around it, sized quietly to your goal, then walks you through the cooking step by step. It plans your week and writes the shopping list from that plan. The scanning, the ring and the logging were cut, deliberately, and they are not coming back.
What we believe
Twenty matching recipes is not an answer, it is homework. Pann commits to one real meal built around the one thing you actually have, and stands by it.
No calorie ring, no logging, no barcode scanner. Your goal quietly sizes the portions and that is all the numbers you will ever see.
